The Role of Banquet Supervisor

The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing banquet operations and ensuring the seamless execution of events at The Red Palace. This full-time role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences, supervising banquet staff, and coordinating effectively with various hotel departments. The supervisor will ensure adherence to operational standards while promoting the Company’s legacy competencies and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff during event setup, service, and breakdown, providing coaching and on-the-job training.
• Ensure staff adhere to established service standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Assist in the planning and execution of various events, including banquets, conferences, and weddings.
• Coordinate with the Banquet Manager, kitchen, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth event operations.
• Monitor event timelines, service flow, and guest satisfaction throughout all stages.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service, and handle requests or concerns efficiently.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation and service quality during all events.

Operational Duties and Standards

• Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring all equipment and décor are correctly in place.
• Monitor inventory of banquet supplies, linens, and equipment, reporting any shortages to management.
• Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
• Assist the Banquet Manager with scheduling, reporting, and operational planning.
• Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance service delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Support the implementation of operational best practices and innovative ideas.

Required Experience and Attributes

Candidates for the Banquet Supervisor position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in banquet operations or a similar hospitality role. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a strong guest-focused approach in all interactions.
