About Mace and the Opportunity

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to deliver projects and unlock potential. We are seeking a BIM Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves working on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia, a major mixed-use development encompassing sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and associated infrastructure. This position is open to Saudi nationals willing to be based in Riyadh.

Role Purpose

The BIM Manager will be instrumental in embedding and aligning BIM and digital processes throughout the full project lifecycle. This role ensures effective information management, governance, and continuous improvement in digital delivery, supporting project teams and enhancing overall capability in line with Mace's operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project delivery teams throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring BIM and digital processes are effectively embedded and aligned with the Mace Way.
  • Assess project resourcing requirements and support recruitment and capability development within BIM teams.
  • Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR), and client digital handover strategies in line with ISO 19650.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance, assurance, and security protocols for information management, including oversight of model production, checking, and digital handover.
  • Lead the development of BIM standards, methods, procedures, shared resources, and object libraries aligned with organisational strategy.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable standards and regulations, driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance digital delivery.
  • Oversee and optimise the use of digital platforms (*, Autodesk Construction Cloud), ensuring effective document control, coordination, and information exchange.
  • Support project planning and delivery through model-based inputs, including construction sequencing and cost planning.
  • Provide training, upskilling, and knowledge sharing to client teams, project managers, and design teams to strengthen digital capability.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and fostering collaborative working relationships.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and emerging technologies, integrating innovations to enhance BIM processes and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced understanding of ISO 19650 information management standards.
  • Professional membership or accreditation (*, APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, or IEMA or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
