The Role of Business Development Specialist

Catchers Agency is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves managing tenders on the Etimad platform and identifying new business opportunities to support company growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong proposal writing and market research skills, combined with a proactive approach to business development in a dynamic environment. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tenders and ensure compliance with all requirements on the Etimad platform.
• Write and submit technical and financial proposals aligned with client needs and company objectives.
• Maintain organized archives of proposals, company profiles, certifications, and pre-qualification files for efficient reuse.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and revenue streams.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor strategies.
• Generate leads proactively through cold and warm outreach, not solely relying on inbound opportunities.
• Attend client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to build the business pipeline.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, focusing on retention and repeat business.
• Support client meetings and pitches, and manage expectations throughout client engagements.
• Communicate professionally in both Arabic and English across emails, proposals, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, tenders, submissions, and deadlines (CRM or structured tracker experience is beneficial).
• Represent Catchers Agency professionally in all external and public-facing settings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or a relevant management field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in business development or a similar role.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement processes or prior experience with governmental/semi-governmental clients in Saudi Arabia is a plus.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Commercially minded, with a results-driven, target-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to take ownership of leads and opportunities from initial contact through to closing, with strong follow-through.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on deadlines.
• Discreet and professional in handling confidential client and pricing information.
• Genuine interest in influencer marketing, digital media, and the Saudi content creator landscape.
• Comfortable with local travel within Riyadh for client meetings and events; a valid driving license or own transportation is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a fast-paced environment and requires engagement with both internal teams and external clients and stakeholders.
