Business Intelligence Team Lead

About the Role

AJEX is seeking a Business Intelligence Team Lead to join its logistics division in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the Business Intelligence team and driving the standardization of enterprise reporting across the organization. The position requires a blend of leadership and direct technical contribution, managing a small team while personally developing key dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of two Power BI professionals, ensuring quality delivery and setting priorities.
• Define and implement a standardized enterprise reporting framework across various departments.
• Design, build, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and data models as required.
• Establish governance standards, including naming conventions, data modeling best practices, version control, and documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
• Oversee data quality, performance optimization, and security measures such as row-level security and workspace governance.
• Manage the Power BI Service environment, licensing, and deployment pipelines.
• Report progress and the reporting roadmap to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 1 to 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
• Proven expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query/M, data modeling, and Power BI Service administration.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data warehouses.
• Demonstrated ability to build standardized, scalable reporting frameworks from inception or at scale.
• Experience in managing and developing a technical team.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Candidates must be willing to relocate to and work in Riyadh.
