Civil Inspector

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Civil Inspector to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing civil engineering projects at various construction sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. The Civil Inspector will act as a key link between the design team and on-site construction activities, providing technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities to support project success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Interpret and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to communicate project requirements to field teams.
• Document site conditions, progress reports, and daily activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform quality control testing and inspections on materials, concrete, soil, and structural elements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local building codes throughout all project phases.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to maintain organized workflow and project timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including photographs, measurements, and inspection reports.
• Operate and maintain field equipment and instruments used for surveying and testing.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project management and design teams through clear technical reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience required: 5-10 years in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Proficiency in identifying and resolving construction-related issues.
• Knowledge of quality control testing procedures for construction materials.
• Familiarity with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local building codes.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with various project stakeholders and reporting findings.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires regular presence at construction sites. The position is full-time and involves coordination with various teams and external parties to ensure project delivery.
