Contracts Manager (E )

About the Role

DAR ENGINEERING is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (E1) to lead contract management for large-scale projects in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overall responsibility for contract and subcontract formation and administration, from pre-qualification and tendering through to performance monitoring, claims resolution, and close-out, ensuring the protection of the project's commercial and contractual interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contract administration on large-scale projects, safeguarding contractual and commercial interests.
• Lead the contracts team, including workload distribution, execution, and personnel management.
• Oversee the formation and administration of contracts and subcontracts, covering pre-qualification, bid request compilation, bid receipt, evaluation, and award.
• Monitor contractor performance against contract requirements and administer back charges as applicable.
• Administer and negotiate change orders, including pricing and assessment of cost and time impact.
• Manage claims and disputes, assessing entitlement, negotiating resolution, and escalating when necessary.
• Draft and review contract documents, and advise project teams on contract law, obligations, and risk.
• Oversee prime contract administration and establish execution office and field procedures for multi-discipline construction projects.
• Prepare clear contract correspondence and notices, and maintain complete contract records.
• Coordinate planning and scheduling inputs from a contractual perspective, including delay and extension of time matters.
• Ensure compliance with government and commercial procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Report on contract status, commercial risks, and exposures to the Project Director and senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in contract management.
• Deep knowledge of engineering and construction contracting practices.
• Sound commercial judgment.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage a contracts team and influence senior stakeholders on complex, multi-discipline projects.
