About Bvlgari and the Deputy Store Manager Role

Bvlgari, a luxury brand established in 1884, is renowned for its creations inspired by Rome Heritage, featuring distinctive colored gemstone combinations and innovation. Bvlgari Middle East is seeking a Deputy Store Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position supports the brand's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction within its retail environment.

Role Overview

The Deputy Store Manager acts as an ambassador for the Bvlgari Maison, both within the boutique and at local and regional events. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this role supports the achievement of business targets and ensures the boutique's operational excellence. Key areas include daily retail operations, problem-solving, team engagement and development, and elevating the client experience personally or through others.

Core Duties and Accountabilities

  • Serve as a reference for all staff regarding sale-related processes and queries on the sales floor, providing quick problem-solving to ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the sales and after-sales teams on service delivery and sales attitude.
  • Contribute to sales targets both individually and as part of the team.
  • Model an elevated client experience posture on the shop floor and champion best practices among the team.
  • Manage client concerns, disputes, and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction is consistently pursued and restored.
  • Approve discounts in accordance with company policy.
  • Support in the management of staff rotas.
  • Assist in analyzing business trends within the store and the local competitor market, identifying best sellers and slow sellers, and generating business ideas to support guidelines.
  • Coordinate back office activities when the Head of Back Office is not on duty.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a sales position.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving personal sales targets and supporting collective store and/or market targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in proactively managing client relationships both inside and outside the boutique.
  • Experience managing a team of sales professionals.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Very strong commercial acumen.
  • A conscious commitment and drive for effectiveness at work.
  • Knowledge of the luxury industry, demonstrated by curiosity about the market and competition.
  • Ability to ensure, alongside the Store Manager, that the store embodies brand guidelines to the highest level and operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
