About the Design Manager Role

Dan - PIF Company is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to leading design processes for hospitality projects, requiring a strong background in architecture and interior design.

Role Overview and Purpose

The Design Manager will oversee the complete design lifecycle for hospitality developments, including hotels and resorts, from initial concept through to final execution. A primary objective of this role is to ensure that all design work adheres strictly to international brand standards and relevant regulatory requirements throughout every project phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process for hospitality projects, including hotels and resorts, from concept design through construction documentation and site execution.
• Coordinate with international hotel operators and brand representatives to ensure alignment with brand standards and guidelines.
• Drive design excellence across architecture, interior design, and coordination of related trades teams with consultants and external stakeholders to ensure design quality and project timelines are met.
• Review and approve design drawings, material selections, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, regulations, and project-specific guidelines.
• Integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes into project workflows and ensure proper coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience

• A proven track record of delivering at least five international branded hotels or resorts.
• 5-10 years of experience in design management, with a strong background in architecture and interior design.
• Specialization in hospitality projects is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full design lifecycle from concept through execution.
• Experience ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.

• Strong leadership and project management capabilities within a design context.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders, including international operators and consultants.
• Proficiency in reviewing and approving complex design and technical documentation.
• Thorough understanding of local and international building codes and regulations.
• Experience with BIM processes and their effective integration into project workflows.
