About the Role

TawanTech is seeking a Disaster Recovery Expert to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves leading and overseeing Disaster Recovery, IT Resilience, and Business Continuity activities, with a specific focus on critical banking systems and technology services. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience, including mandatory experience within the banking or financial services sector, and will preferably have prior experience in a Lead or Supervisor capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, plans, procedures, and recovery runbooks.
Define and maintain Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for critical systems.
Lead DR drills, simulations, failover/failback processes, and recovery testing.
Coordinate DR activities with infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, application, database, cloud, and business teams.
Ensure DR environments, backup, replication, High Availability (HA), and recovery capabilities are operational and compliant.
Conduct risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and root-cause analysis for DR-related issues.
Ensure alignment with banking regulations, audit requirements, and IT governance standards.
Manage DR vendors and provide regular readiness and risk reports to management.
Lead and mentor DR and technical teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, IT Resilience, or Business Continuity.
Mandatory experience within the banking or financial services industry.
Previous experience in a Lead or Supervisor role is preferred.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the successful candidate will work within a dedicated team focused on maintaining the resilience of critical banking systems.
