About the Role

alfanar, a company headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an ENGINEER, TESTING & COMMI. SOUTH for a full-time position. alfanar operates construction and manufacturing businesses, design and development centers, and various facilities across the Middle East and other regions. Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct commissioning and testing activities on power plants prior to their operational phase. This involves ensuring all systems function correctly and meet specified standards before the plant becomes operational.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and update project and new equipment test reports, including necessary corrections.
Document non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts.
Execute functional testing according to the specified scheme.
Test and coordinate activities during customer inspections.
Resolve technical issues encountered during power plant testing and site commissioning.
Perform site testing and commissioning activities for substations or power plants.
Test and commission substation equipment, including various types of relays, switchgear, and transformers.
Adhere to all safety procedures during testing and commissioning processes.
Provide technical support by reviewing design documents before their release.
Initiate continuous improvement efforts and maintain relevant records in consultation with the department manager.
Initiate corrective and preventive actions and maintain associated records in consultation with the department manager.

Train subordinates and form effective teams to ensure work is completed efficiently.
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
Delegate tasks to subordinates for each respective assignment.
Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain subordinate morale and motivation.

Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and the execution of planned tasks.
Resolve related problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues.
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
