Facilities Engineer

About the Role

Khidmah is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join its Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Services Division in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the operational direction of facilities and engineering services, working with outsourced service providers to ensure robust engineering management systems are in place. The primary objective is to maintain a safe environment and achieve superior performance across properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Low Voltage (LV) Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), corrective, and reactive maintenance, including electrical preventive maintenance services.
• Monitor High Voltage (HV) assets such as switchgear, transformers, and DC systems, as well as backup power assets like UPS and generators.
• Attend major breakdowns and troubleshoot complex MEP systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, BMS, AHU, FAHU, FCU, firefighting networks, and chilled water loops.
• Operate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and access control/intercom systems.
• Plan, schedule, and review day-to-day MEP operations, subcontractor works, and site inspections to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare maintenance schedules, incident/accident reports, technical evaluations, and quotations.
• Track work orders, materials, and completion timelines using SAP.
• Coordinate with HSE to prepare risk assessments, method statements, risk management plans, and fire assessment plans, adhering to safety, business continuity, and information security policies.
• Maintain flexibility to work shift patterns and provide 24/7 standby availability for emergency call-outs.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil specializations), Facilities Management, or a related field.
• FM-related professional certifications are an advantage.
• 6 to 9 years of experience within the relevant FM industry.
• Solid background in installation, maintenance, and repair across large commercial, retail, or residential premises.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, SAP, MS Office, and Project Management Software.
• Comprehensive understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) regulations, permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and water treatment management.
