Field Engineer Civil (Saudi National)

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer – Civil to join its Construction Supervision Consultant team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position supports a major landmark development project, focusing on the supervision and coordination of civil construction activities. The successful candidate will ensure that works align with approved designs, specifications, quality, safety, and sustainability standards, as well as the project schedule.

Project Context

The project involves the design, enabling works, and construction of a large-scale destination development. This includes iconic assets, hospitality facilities, and essential supporting infrastructure. The Field Engineer will play a key role in monitoring and verifying civil works across assigned project areas to ensure compliance with all contractual and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities within designated project zones.
• Monitor contractor operations for adherence to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction works are executed according to approved documentation.
• Review inspection requests, material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and requests for information.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, inspectors, contractors, designers, and other disciplines.
• Monitor material and workmanship quality, reporting any non-conformance or defective work.
• Assist in tracking construction progress, identifying delays, and reporting potential risks and issues.
• Coordinate civil works with structural, architectural, MEP, utilities, infrastructure, and other specialist disciplines.
• Ensure that all required inspections and testing are completed and properly documented.
• Participate in site meetings, coordination meetings, progress reviews, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, daily reports, photographs, and related documentation.
• Support the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Monitor contractor compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
• Assist with the review of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, warranties, and project closeout records.
• Support the successful integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of completed works.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil construction supervision or field engineering is required.
• Experience on major hospitality, mixed-use, destination development, or landmark projects is preferred.
• Previous experience with a Construction Supervision Consultant, engineering consultant, or project management consultant is desirable.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of construction methods, quality control procedures, inspection and testing requirements, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and multicultural project team.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East is preferred.

This is a full-time, site-based role located in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working as part of a dedicated Construction Supervision Consultant team on a significant development project.
