About the Role

GSK is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on supporting end-to-end reporting, tracking, and monitoring of Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) expenses. The role involves close collaboration with various finance and business functions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for a range of reporting, analysis, and business partnering activities, including:

• Supporting end-to-end reporting, tracking, and monitoring of SG&A spend.
• Monthly tracking of Advertising & Promotion (A&P) / Scientific Engagement (SE) spend activity by category.
• Aligning with business and medical functions on Year-to-Date (YTD) / Year-to-Go (YTG) spend, including gap and phasing analysis.
• Working with the Close & Control (C&C) HUB during month-end closing and supporting the Finance Business Partner (FBP) in managing sign-off commentaries with the Planning HUB.
• Ensuring completeness of accruals and accuracy of numbers regarding spend allocation across business units.
• Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFP) during planning cycles to ensure accurate submission of financial plans, updates, forecasts, and associated activities.
• Collaborating with the commercial team in developing financial plans and updates.

Reporting and Analysis

• Supervising close and control activities on profit and loss, monitoring budget versus actual P&L, and submitting commentaries to regional teams.
• Providing management with visibility on performance and spend through monthly and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Initiating process improvement initiatives for reporting and system automation to minimize manual work and enhance reporting efficiency.

Business Partnering

• Carrying out ancillary planning activities including plan phasing (calendarization), exchange and cost flips, plan submission in the financial planning system, and preparing offline templates and presentations.
• Supporting the SFP in the Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) by preparing summary movements versus last cycles, ensuring finance participation with stock position, YTD/YTG growth, and market dynamics for competitive analysis.
• Tracking actual Gross-to-Net (G2N) reflections with a focus on variance analysis versus plan and forecast (CCC).
• Reviewing SG&A to make recommendations for cost savings.
• Supporting management and business units with financial provisions pertaining to business needs.
• Supporting and occasionally leading commercial initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies in SG&A.
• Utilizing analytical tools (*, Power BI) to support the core business team with data points and actionable leads.
