About the Role

stc is seeking a Financial Statements Consolidation Reporting Section Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to managing the consolidation of financial information and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Role Overview

The role holder is responsible for collating financial information, coordinating with auditors, and producing consolidated financial statements. This position also involves maintaining financial closing calendars, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and supporting the Financial Reporting Consolidation department in alignment with strategic objectives. Duties are carried out in accordance with stipulated business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly and yearly reviews and audits of stc's consolidated financial statements.
  • Control and produce group consolidated financial statements in accordance with Accounting and CMA standards and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements reports and manage their internal and external review.
  • Create stc’s consolidated financial statements reports in compliance with stc policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide accounting standards interpretation, and prepare technical memorandums.
  • Create and maintain the stc calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for financial closing and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance relevant to financial reporting to the management team, in conjunction with the Policy and Procedure department.
  • Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures.
  • Support in maintaining month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate with counterparts within stc on harmonization of policies within the scope of the stc Reform.
  • Produce actual-to-actual consolidation reporting.
  • Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external and internal auditors.
  • Produce the annual PIF group reporting package as required by PIF.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Prior supervisory experience in financial statement reporting within a large-scale service-oriented industry is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience within the KSA region and/or the Middle East region, including knowledge of the regulatory environment and context, is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within the Financial Reporting Consolidation department, collaborating with various internal departments and external auditors.
