The Role of FinOps Analyst

As a FinOps Analyst, you will join the Finance Operations (FinOps) team as a vital contributor, focusing on maintaining financial operational efficiency and control. This full-time role involves active participation in FinOps projects, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, and supporting daily activities to achieve financial and operational excellence. The position requires leveraging strong financial literacy and analytical expertise to generate actionable insights that drive informed decision-making, contributing to the transformation of how millions of users engage with shopping, payments, and banking services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily financial operation tasks, including timely and accurate transaction processing and balance reconciliations.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with internal stakeholders, such as Finance and cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless execution of financial operations.
  • Maintain and update financial operations systems and platforms to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and reliability.
  • Drive and support pivotal FinOps projects, including leading stakeholder engagement and process optimization initiatives.
  • Provide comprehensive support for broader FinOps activities, such as merchant settlements, payment processing, and financial reporting/forecasting.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and established financial controls.
  • Proactively monitor and mitigate operational risks associated with FinOps processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant professional experience. A strong foundation in financial literacy and proven analytical expertise are essential. The ideal candidate is a driven, determined, and curious team player with a positive, solution-oriented outlook. The role requires perseverance in challenging circumstances, the ability to work effectively with diverse teams through empathy and respect, and comfort with responding quickly and adapting course without losing momentum.
