FOREMAN TRANSMISSION LINE

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Foreman, Transmission Line to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves supervising line crews engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems. The role requires 6-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems.
• Oversee equipment, materials, and record-keeping for projects.
• Evaluate the performance of crew members and initiate training or corrective actions as needed to meet performance standards.
• Analyze operational methods and develop improved procedures.
• Establish and maintain electric line clearances with other utilities.
• Install high-voltage connectors, transformers, switches in manholes and vaults, securing equipment and cables, and various service lines, power poles, meters, and metering devices.
• Report project status regularly to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials.
• Train, instruct, and mentor Line-workers to ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables as per the job description and company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them.
• Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards.
• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
• Provide periodic work progress reports.

Leadership and Management

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to develop a robust second line of management.
• Recognize low performers and guide them towards improvement or manage their release.
• Treat subordinates equally without discrimination, assessing performance based on results.
• Ensure the availability of a delegation of authority matrix in line with company policy.
• Transform corporate goals into business plans, and plan, follow up, and execute these plans.
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and take corrective measures.
• Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans.
• Ensure the availability of job descriptions for all roles and their deployment.

• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures.
• Seek automation opportunities and promote the full use of automated systems.
• Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business.

Qualifications and Experience

• 6-10 years of experience in supervising line crews involved in electric transmission systems.
• Demonstrated ability to make necessary and proper timely decisions.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, recognizing it as a prime competitive advantage.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Foreman will contribute to Alfanar Projects' commitment to quality and operational excellence.
