Introduction to the Role

Metso is seeking a Grinding Technical Sales Support professional to join its Middle East Technical Sales Support team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working closely with tier 2 technical sales support to facilitate the deployment of new product information, best practices, sales trainings, and technology-specific value argumentation. The role also requires collaboration with the sales team to develop campaigns, manage opportunity funnels, establish priorities, and define solutions for customers.

Core Responsibilities

Support and/or lead sales activities for Grinding products within the Middle East region.
Conduct customer site visits with service and sales teams to inspect grinding equipment, identify areas for improvement or modification, gather customer information, and discuss recommended solutions.
Prepare sketches and collect technical information for new items, particularly for parts of competitor equipment.
Contribute to Product Group level sales funnel generation and ensure the appropriateness of quotation process data for specific cases.
Provide support to the Field Service team for commissioning, troubleshooting, and preparing recommended spare parts lists.
Develop value argumentation, value propositions, and win plans for upgrade and modification solutions.
Ensure the timely progression of sales cases, from initial lead generation through proposal submission and negotiations.
Monitor and ensure the profitability of sales cases and the overall business segment.
Ensure adherence to sales processes, proposal guidelines, and risk management procedures.
Collect and analyze customer and competitor information to inform sales strategies.
Support the warranty process, including reviewing inspection reports, providing recommendations, and defining solutions.
Escalate issues to the Business Area Tier 2 Technical Sales Support Team as necessary.
Ensure Account Managers receive adequate training and support to effectively sell products.
Ensure full compliance with all QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety) rules and regulations of Metso and its customers.

Required Experience and Qualifications

A Mechanical Engineering degree is required.
7 to 10 years of experience in technical support, field services, or maintenance of grinding equipment.
Demonstrated experience in implementing strategies and business direction focused on business growth.
A comprehensive understanding of various grinding equipment and processes.
Experience with Metso and non-Metso Grinding Mills.

Key Skills and Technical Acumen

Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
Basic understanding of SAP, Salesforce, and AI.

Location and Travel

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires significant travel, approximately 60%, to customer sites across the Middle East and potentially abroad as needed.
