About the Project

Welocalize is seeking individuals for a freelance project focused on Gulf Arabic video recording to enhance AI capabilities. This role involves a single, one-hour session and is open to candidates in Riyadh with 0-1 years of experience. The compensation for this project is US$13 per accepted video.

Role Responsibilities

• Record a single video, 15–20 seconds in length, speaking in your native Arabic dialect.
• Speak naturally without a script; suggested prompts include a brief self-introduction, mentioning your place of residence, or discussing an interest or hobby.
• Maintain direct eye contact with the camera throughout the recording.
• Complete a short questionnaire about yourself (*, age range, country, dialect) after recording to assist with dataset organization.

Technical and Environmental Requirements

• Video Quality: 1080p or higher resolution.
• Length: 15–20 seconds.
• Framing: Head-and-shoulders shot, with the face centered and fully visible.
• Lighting and Background: Well-lit face without harsh shadows; a plain or neutral background is required.
• Expression: Neutral or relaxed expression while speaking naturally.
• Audio: Clear speech, free from background noise, music, or echo.
• Orientation: Portrait or landscape is acceptable; footage must be steady without shakiness.
• Environment: A quiet indoor setting is preferred.

Prohibited Elements

• Filters or beauty modes.
• Sunglasses, hats, hoods, or face coverings.
• Headphones or earbuds.
• Watermarks, stickers, or borders.
• Other people or pets within the frame.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be a self-identified native Arabic speaker. A brief screening step may be required to confirm dialect before final submission.
