About the Role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and professional H&S Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs. The primary goal is to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment across all departments.

Role Purpose

The H&S Officer will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture within the organization. This includes working collaboratively to minimize workplace hazards and incidents, ensuring adherence to both local regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with Saudi Arabian labor regulations and international standards.
Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Organize and deliver safety training programs and induction sessions for new employees and existing staff on relevant safety topics.
Maintain accurate and organized health and safety records, documentation, and reports required for regulatory compliance and audits.
Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure safety protocols are understood and consistently followed across the organization.
Monitor workplace conditions and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Prepare and present safety performance reports and metrics to senior management.
Stay current with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations applicable to the organization.
Coordinate with external safety auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active engagement across various departments to promote and maintain safety standards.
