About the Role

Catrion Group is seeking a Head Chef to lead production activities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring an experienced culinary professional to oversee comprehensive kitchen operations and ensure high standards across all production processes.

Role Overview

The Head Chef will be responsible for managing the culinary production, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and optimizing resource utilization. This role involves strategic planning, budget management, and supporting the professional development of kitchen staff, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee production activities to meet company objectives and customer demands.
  • Optimize the use of manpower, equipment, and resources to achieve high efficiency and quality standards.
  • Supervise production to ensure adherence to customer specifications and airline standards.
  • Conduct quality checks, including product shelf life, date marking, and hygiene compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Purchasing, and Tray Setting for seamless operations.
  • Manage CAPEX and staff budgets, ensuring compliance with monthly targets.
  • Document and communicate production updates and changes effectively.
  • Support the development of new products and recipes, including attending food fairs when necessary.
  • Establish and update recipe books to ensure consistent quality across all products.
  • Prepare regular reports on production progress, challenges, and improvements.
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene and quality control standards.
  • Address raw material shortages and implement effective contingency plans.
  • Supervise the training and development of junior staff, supporting Saudization programs.
  • Participate in daily and monthly production meetings for strategic alignment.
  • Adjust operational plans for high-demand periods, such as Ramadan and Hajj.
  • Manage staff scheduling, vacation planning, and overtime authorization.
  • Develop and implement efficient production procedures, promoting continual improvement.
  • Comply with cybersecurity protocols, handling data with required confidentiality.
  • Obtain necessary permits for sensitive area access and report cybersecurity incidents.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment, scheduling preventive equipment maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a Head Chef or similar leadership role within a high-volume production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex kitchen operations, budgets, and staff.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic production environment. The role requires active participation in staff development and adherence to company policies, including cybersecurity and operational safety protocols.
