About National Medical Care

National Medical Care is seeking a Head of Finance to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in the financial management of the organization.

Role Purpose

The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the finance departments across all Business Units. This involves ensuring that all company transactions are accurately and timely accounted for and recorded, in strict compliance with established policies and procedures. The role provides essential financial oversight and supports strategic decision-making within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain appropriate processes and controls to ensure all transactions are recorded timely, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Oversee and manage the company's taxation affairs, including liaising with tax consultants and ensuring compliance with taxation laws.
  • Prepare monthly 3-month cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide accurate financial data as required to enable the senior leadership team to make critical business decisions.
  • Manage the company's banking and borrowing arrangements, including compliance with covenants.
  • Manage and oversee the company’s financial systems.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, mentoring, and development of finance staff.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Payroll, Financial, and Management Accounting functions across all Business Units.
  • Manage and track budget and accounting information, including billing, collections, and tax data.
  • Review all formal finance-related policies and procedures and ensure they are kept up to date.

Reporting Structure and Leadership

The Head of Finance reports directly to the CFO. This role involves significant leadership responsibilities, including supervising the Finance Managers of all Business Units and the Chief Accountant in the Head Office, fostering a cohesive and high-performing finance team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant finance and accounting role.
  • Professional accounting certification (*, CA, CPA, ACCA) is required.
  • Direct experience in general Hospital Finance & Accounting is essential.
  • Experience in healthcare provider business office operations, especially billing and collections, is preferred.
