Healthcare Nutrition Specialist Adult Nutrition

About the Role

Danone MENA is seeking a Healthcare Nutrition Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves contributing to the market share of Specialized Nutrition (SN) brands within the assigned area and building scientific-based relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs).

Role Context and Objectives

The Healthcare Nutrition Specialist will be responsible for driving SN brand market share and ensuring HCP satisfaction and loyalty by addressing their healthcare nutrition needs. The role focuses on influencing HCP attitudes and behaviors through scientific engagement and effective area management, covering Riyadh, Al Qassim, and Al-Kharj.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodical visits to HCPs in hospitals, health clinics, and private practices to establish scientific relationships and position Danone's Healthcare Nutrition solutions.
• Ensure HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) receive accurate scientific information, clinical studies, and understand product benefits.
• Organize and conduct scientific audio/visual meetings for HCPs.
• Identify business opportunities within the assigned area and develop initiatives to realize potential.
• Implement weekly call cycles in coordination with the direct manager.
• Monitor competitive activities and recommend counter-actions to maintain market position.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge to address HCP inquiries effectively.
• Follow up on customer queries and complaints.
• Review business plans quarterly with the Head of KSA and submit reports on promotional activities.
• Ensure all business practices comply with WHO and local government codes of ethics for infant formula products.
• Conduct seminars and detailing nutrition education activities.
• Manage daily databases and ensure compliance with administrative procedures.
• Achieve qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators for the assigned area.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss market situations and appraise activities against KPIs.
• Assist in running seminars and events.
• Gather intelligence on the HCP universe, including identifying new contacts and monitoring competitor activities.
• Conduct face-to-face medical detailing calls and maintain ongoing contact with targeted HCPs.
• Build strong relationships with targeted HCPs and map decision-making networks.
• Record and report on call visits and progress against objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical, Pharmacist, or Dietitian.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the nutrition field is preferred.
• Experience with Primary Healthcare Centers is also preferred.

Location and Values
