Host/Hostess

About the Role

Westin is seeking a Host/Hostess to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, including those with no prior related work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine the size of their party.
• Seat guests efficiently at clean, available tables, ensuring appropriate place settings.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide assistance as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings to accommodate groups, including those with special needs.
• Verify that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, using clear and professional language.
• Answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals, and addressing concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience required (0-1 years).
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
• License or Certification: None.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
