About the Host Role at Le Méridien Riyadh

Marriott International is seeking a Host to join the team at Le Méridien in Riyadh. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are eager to contribute to a sophisticated guest experience. The Host plays a central role in welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless dining experience within the distinct European spirit of Le Méridien, a brand inspired by glamorous travel.

Core Duties and Guest Service

• Greet guests upon arrival and accurately determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests efficiently at clean, available tables, ensuring chairs are pulled out and a current menu is presented.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide any necessary assistance.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings as required, including organizing seating for groups with special needs.
• Verify that all place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and standard items.
• Inspect menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and free of wrinkles.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Communicate professionally with others and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

Operational and Professional Standards

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, and the safety and well-being of guests.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Candidate Profile and Physical Demands

The ideal candidate will possess 0-1 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences. We seek individuals who are curious, creative, and appreciate connecting with like-minded guests. This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. It also involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
