Shinan Gulf Cont. Co. is seeking an HVAC Technician specializing in Chillers & Packaged Units to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various HVAC systems across project sites throughout Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of chillers, packaged units, and associated HVAC systems. This position requires a hands-on approach to both preventive and corrective maintenance, with a focus on diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently and safely. The role involves frequent travel to support maintenance and service activities at various project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including equipment inspection, cleaning, and condition monitoring.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration circuit, and control system faults; identify root causes, carry out repairs, and verify proper operation.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and control schematics.
• Inspect and test sensors, contactors, overload relays, and protection circuits.
• Inspect pumps, fans, belts, bearings, compressors, and system leaks, and perform repairs within authorized scope and approved procedures.
• Prepare service reports documenting readings, faults, spare parts, corrective actions, and recommendations in Arabic or English, as required by the site.
• Comply with safety procedures, including energy isolation, lockout/tagout, verification of isolation, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Travel frequently to support maintenance and service activities at project sites throughout Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant technical qualification or vocational training in refrigeration and air conditioning.
• Practical experience (0-1 year) in the operation and maintenance of chillers and packaged HVAC units.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC controls, electrical systems, refrigeration, and mechanical components.
• Effective communication and maintenance report-writing skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Saudi Arabia.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring frequent travel to various project sites across the country. The role involves working hands-on with HVAC systems in diverse operational settings.
