The Role of Information Security Officer

Soum is seeking an Information Security Officer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves guiding the company's security posture, particularly as Soum expands into regulated sectors such as auto-financing. The ideal candidate will possess extensive regulatory familiarity and previous experience operating in a strategic advisory capacity, focusing on cybersecurity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead compliance audits in alignment with KSA regulations, specifically SAMA frameworks.
• Review and implement comprehensive data security strategies across all departments.
• Support regulatory submissions and responses pertinent to fintech operations.
• Oversee documentation and ensure robust data protection practices.
• Coordinate effectively with product and legal teams to uphold security standards.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a Saudi national.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional audit and compliance efforts across various departments.

Essential Knowledge and Standards

• Deep understanding of SAMA regulatory requirements and KSA cybersecurity law.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2 compliance standards.
• Experience operating through or with an agency setup is considered ideal.
