The Role of IT Service Engineer

Medica Group is seeking a full-time IT Service Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, integration, and technical support of dental imaging systems and digital dentistry solutions. The primary objective is to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance between dental equipment, software, servers, and broader healthcare IT systems within client environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain dental imaging software, systems, and related solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot networks connecting dental equipment, servers, workstations, and hospital systems.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, networking, software, hardware, and system integration issues.
  • Provide technical support during installation, implementation, commissioning, and post-installation phases.
  • Support digital dentistry and dental imaging solutions across various customer sites.
  • Provide user training, technical guidance, and basic system documentation.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while minimizing system downtime.
  • Ensure systems are properly configured and integrated according to technical and customer requirements.

Technical Integration Focus

A key aspect of this position involves performing DICOM and PACS integration between dental imaging equipment and healthcare information systems. The engineer will also be responsible for integrating and supporting CBCT, panoramic, and intraoral imaging systems with dental software and digital dentistry platforms. Expertise in networking and system integration is central to fulfilling the requirements of this role.

Collaboration and Customer Engagement

The IT Service Engineer will coordinate closely with hospital and clinic IT departments to ensure successful system implementation and integration. This includes providing on-site technical support and guidance to customers, working directly with healthcare facilities and their IT teams to implement solutions, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful system deployment and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with internal teams, customers, and third-party technology providers is essential for resolving complex technical challenges.

Required Experience and Location

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant IT service engineering role, preferably within the medical or dental technology sector. The role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
