About the Lead Engineer Field Services Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Engineer Field Services to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to providing essential service and maintenance activities directly at client sites. The role focuses on ensuring the operational integrity and longevity of installed products and equipment, contributing to their upkeep, repair, and refurbishment.

Role Summary and Operational Context

The Lead Engineer Field Services is responsible for all necessary resources and logistics to execute service and maintenance tasks on client properties. This includes both preventive and corrective maintenance services, as well as managing maintenance facilities and field technical support. The incumbent operates within a well-defined operational framework, adhering to prescribed work instructions and system verification processes, and is accountable for the quality of their work under direct operational supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all on-site life extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets.
• Supervise the construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at client sites.
• Manage on-site machining, non-destructive testing, blades, windings, critical welds, and generator diagnostics.
• Make informed engineering decisions in the field.
• Develop conceptual knowledge within the professional discipline, potentially including support roles requiring specialized expertise or broad technical knowledge.
• Apply business management knowledge gained through studies or prior experience, understanding how team contributions impact the overall field.
• Resolve problems using established procedures, consulting supervisors or experienced team members for issues outside defined instructions or parameters.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to address and resolve technical challenges.
• For client-facing aspects of the role, develop strong relationships with clients and serve as a primary interface between the client and GE Vernova.
• Exchange technical information, ask clarifying questions, and verify understanding with stakeholders.
