The Opportunity

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Mechanical Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves conducting comprehensive mechanical inspections, ensuring strict compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international construction standards, and supervising the installation and testing of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and analytical skills to uphold high quality standards across all projects, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Building Code regulations and international standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and technical documentation, analyzing findings and recommending corrective actions with clear justification.
  • Supervise mechanical contractors and installation teams to ensure work quality, adherence to project specifications, and timely project completion.
  • Verify mechanical systems functionality through comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures, accurately documenting all results and certifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve mechanical issues, maintain project progress, and support team objectives.
  • Maintain organized records of all inspections, test results, and compliance documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and non-conformances proactively, implementing corrective and preventive actions to ensure site safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior inspectors and site personnel on inspection procedures, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor mechanical equipment performance and recommend maintenance or replacement strategies based on analytical assessment and industry standards.
  • Ensure all work meets contractual requirements and quality assurance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple inspection projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and organizational efficiency.
  • Communicate inspection findings and technical recommendations to diverse stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed inspection reports and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) regulations and international construction standards.

Work Environment and Company Commitment
