About the Mixologist Role

Marriott International is seeking a Mixologist to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 year of experience in a similar capacity. The Mixologist is primarily responsible for preparing a variety of beverages for guests according to specified recipes and maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the bar area.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders for guests precisely according to specified recipes and using accurate measuring systems.
• Set up and maintain the cleanliness and optimal condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and all associated tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks and ensure adequate stock of ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Transport necessary supplies to the bar set-up area and efficiently wash soiled glassware.
• Remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables, placing them in designated areas for cleaning.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for all bar inventory and supplies.
• Process all payment methods accurately and efficiently.
• Count the bank at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Secure coolers, cabinets, and storage areas, and complete all assigned closing duties.

Service Standards and Team Collaboration

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are consistently clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive working relationships and supporting team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and service standards in all tasks.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess 0-1 year of experience in a mixology or bartending role, demonstrating a foundational understanding of beverage preparation and bar operations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to follow precise instructions, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent guest service within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
