About the Role

DallahHealth is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Therapist / Home Care to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves working directly with patients in their homes to support various health goals, including weight management, fostering healthier eating habits, and managing stress. The role focuses on equipping patients with tools for behavior modification and adjusting their dietary approaches to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Role Context and Purpose

The Nutrition Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering personalized clinical nutrition services within a home care environment. This involves providing direct patient care, assessing individual nutritional needs, and developing tailored therapy plans that align with both medical and clinical objectives. The position requires a commitment to patient safety, continuous education, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nutrition services through scheduled home visits to patients.
• Prepare the medical bag daily to ensure all patient needs are met during visits.
• Adhere strictly to the visit schedule and arrive at patient homes on time.
• Maintain responsibility for sterilizing all equipment and tools before and after each session.
• Deliver medical nutrition therapy and services in alignment with patient’s medical and clinical goals.
• Conduct comprehensive nutritional status assessments by analyzing and synthesizing relevant information.
• Review, interpret, and monitor the nutritional needs of patients through standard care and practice.
• Determine and offer age-specific nutrition counseling to address the clinical and cultural needs of patients and their family members.
• Specify diet supplements and enteral nutrition orders in accordance with Dallah Health policy.
• Record subjective and objective information, assessments, and treatment plans in clinical notes, including discharge summaries.
• Contribute to the department’s continuing medical education program.
• Actively implement and ensure full awareness of departmental policies and procedures, as well as local and international standards or requirements related to the department.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive and individualized care plans for each patient.
• Engage in home care Safety Management and Risk Management Programs, actively reporting incidents in the system and participating in incident reviews when necessary.
• Participate in patient and family education to enhance understanding and involvement in care, facilitating well-informed care decisions.
• Perform any other duties within the scope of professional knowledge and skills as directed by the direct manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Medical license as a Clinical Nutritionist.
• 1-2 years of related professional experience.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on providing home-based care. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
