About Noon Academy

Noon Academy is a Saudi EdTech company that operates Noon Track, a hybrid program within schools designed to prepare students aged 15-17 for the national university-admission exams, Qudrat (قدرات) and Tahsili (تحصيلي). The company is transitioning to an AI-native model across its departments and is expanding its reach to more schools. Noon Academy aims to provide world-class teachers to every student by reimagining education through technology, peer learning, and physical spaces.

The Role of Principal Product Designer

Noon Academy is seeking a Principal Product Designer to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time, individual contributor role requiring 5 years of experience. The Principal Product Designer will be the sole owner of the student experience, primarily focusing on the student application where students engage in study, interact with an AI tutor, answer questions, and participate in activities including games and head-to-head duels. The role also involves shaping aspects of the live classroom experience. This position offers significant autonomy, with the designer responsible for identifying problems, conducting research, and delivering solutions from conception to shipment.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary owner of the entire student experience, maintaining a direct line of communication with leadership.
Conduct research with students in Saudi schools through interviews, focus groups, and classroom observations to inform design decisions.
Design solutions specifically for the Saudi Arabian context, understanding that design patterns from other regions may not be effective.
Manage the student application end-to-end, including flows, information architecture, prototyping, final UI, and handover to engineering.
Design engaging activities, including games and duels, ensuring they prioritize learning outcomes.
Lead and participate in building the experimentation practice, including forming hypotheses, creating variants, defining metrics, and analyzing results.
Integrate AI tools into the design workflow for generation, prototyping, and production, focusing on decision quality over manual pixel pushing.
Collaborate directly with product managers and engineers in short loops for rapid releases.

Work Environment and Impact

This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on how thousands of students learn daily. The work environment is characterized by speed and autonomy, operating within a small team with minimal bureaucracy. As an AI-native company, Noon Academy integrates AI into daily operations. The company is well-funded, having closed Series B, and possesses substantial recurring revenue with accelerating growth. The mission is centered on ensuring every student has access to world-class teachers.
