About Leica Biosystems and the Role

Leica Biosystems, a global leader in anatomical pathology solutions and part of Danaher, is dedicated to advancing cancer diagnostics and improving lives. The company supports the pathology workflow from biopsy to diagnosis, assisting laboratories and healthcare professionals. This full-time position for a Product & Application Manager is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Product & Application Manager will lead product strategy and application excellence for the Leica Biosystems histopathology portfolio in Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing and developing the Application Consultant team, driving product adoption and market penetration, and supporting product launches and expansion projects. The manager will also be responsible for tender response strategy and execution, including NUPCO and major institutional tenders, and conducting market feasibility assessments to identify growth opportunities. Collaboration with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Shared Services is essential to translate customer needs and market insights into actionable priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead local product strategy and execution for the histopathology portfolio, aligning with regional and global priorities.
  • Drive product adoption, market penetration, launches, and expansion projects through plans developed with commercial and application teams.
  • Conduct market feasibility assessments to evaluate customer demand, portfolio gaps, competitive positioning, and new business opportunities.
  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with regional and global teams to inform portfolio priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Application Consultant team, setting objectives and strengthening histopathology expertise, customer engagement, and technical capability.
  • Ensure high-quality product demonstrations, evaluations, validation support, and customer training across the histopathology workflow.
  • Act as the histopathology subject matter expert for complex opportunities and key customer engagements.
  • Own the end-to-end tender response process for NUPCO and major institutional opportunities, from requirements review to submission.
  • Coordinate with Tendering, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Legal teams to deliver compliant, competitive tender submissions.
  • Lead the development of technical responses and customer value propositions, ensuring accuracy of product specifications and documentation.
  • Partner with Marketing to deliver local campaigns, workshops, scientific events, and product launch activities.
  • Apply Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to strengthen standard work, improve processes, and maintain execution discipline.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A strong, hands-on histopathology background is essential.
  • Ability to engage with pathologists and laboratory leaders.
  • Proficiency in guiding application teams.
  • Capability to explain the clinical, operational, and commercial value of solutions.
