About WSP Middle East and the Role

WSP Middle East is seeking a highly experienced QA QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control activities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, focusing on a major transport infrastructure and utilities project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring project quality and compliance.

Role Purpose and Project Focus

The QA QC Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive project quality management systems. This involves ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, relevant industry standards, and client requirements. The position demands deep expertise in quality management specifically within infrastructure and utility projects, alongside effective coordination with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to consistently achieve quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Monitor compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead quality audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and compliance reviews across the project.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality procedures, and reports.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, preventive actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with supervision teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective quality management implementation.
  • Analyze quality trends and provide recommendations to improve project performance and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor QA/QC personnel and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant local and international quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates must possess over 15 years of proven experience working with Engineering Consultants, Supervision Consultants, PMCs, or Client-side organizations.
  • This experience must be specifically within the delivery of transport infrastructure and utilities projects.
  • Previous project experience in the Middle East/GCC region is highly preferred.
  • Applicants with backgrounds predominantly in contractor roles, building construction, vertical development, architectural, or design consultancy will not be considered for this position.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on a critical infrastructure project. The role requires close coordination with various project stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
