The Role of QA/QC Manager

KEO International Consultants is seeking a QA/QC Manager to join the team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is also open for candidates in Jeddah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship on a landmark mixed-use development project meet international standards, client requirements, and regulatory codes. The role involves close collaboration with design, supervision, and project management teams to maintain rigorous quality assurance across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), inspection and test plans (ITPs), and related QA/QC documentation.
  • Monitor site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality audits, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings from contractors.
  • Coordinate with the client, contractor, and design consultants to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead QA/QC meetings and report on quality performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure traceability of materials, tests, and inspections through effective record control.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 9001 quality management systems within the project framework.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA/QC staff and site inspection teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles on large-scale building or mixed-use projects, with a total career journey of 15 years.
  • Experience within the GCC region is preferred.
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems (*, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is preferred.
