The Role of Quality Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Quality Engineer (Site Operations) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects adhere to all quality control and quality assurance procedures on-site. The position involves close collaboration with the site management team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control processes for construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform site inspections and coordinate testing of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Accurately record and report results.
• Identify and document any deviations or non-conformance issues. Collaborate with site teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken.
• Maintain clear, accurate records of inspections, tests, reports, and non-conformance issues. Prepare and submit regular quality control reports to project managers and senior management.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met during construction and to resolve any quality-related concerns.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (*, ISO 9001).
• Assist in identifying areas for improvement in quality processes and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality of project delivery.
• Ensure that all quality-related concerns from clients and stakeholders are addressed promptly and professionally. Support client inspections and reviews as required.
• Provide quality awareness training to site teams, ensuring that all personnel are familiar with the project's quality requirements and procedures.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 8+ years of experience in a relevant quality engineering role, preferably within site operations for construction projects.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and collaboration with various project teams and stakeholders.
