Quantity Surveyor / Cost Control Engineer

About the Role

Double Marks Contracting is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is for a major Data Center project. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, focusing on quantity surveying, cost control, progress measurement, variations, and commercial tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for civil and structural works, including excavation, concrete, reinforcement, and formwork.
• Establish and maintain project cost tracking and reporting systems.
• Track budget, commitments, actual costs, and forecast cost to complete.
• Prepare progress measurements and payment applications.
• Review subcontractor quantities and payment applications.
• Prepare commercial comparisons for Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and procurement.
• Identify, quantify, and track variations/change orders.
• Reconcile BOQ quantities against drawings and actual site quantities.
• Monitor unit costs and project expenditure.
• Prepare cost reports and cash-flow forecasts for the Project Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying/Cost Control experience, with a total experience range of 5-10 years.
• Strong experience in civil and reinforced concrete construction.
• Excellent quantity takeoff and measurement skills.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, variations, progress billing, and subcontractor valuations.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Saudi/GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience in Data Center, industrial, or major construction projects is an advantage.

This position is based in Riyadh. Candidates currently available in Saudi Arabia and able to mobilize on short notice are preferred.
