SAP Technical Architect

About the Role

NextEra is seeking a highly experienced SAP Technical Architect to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience, with a specific focus on architecting, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale SAP landscapes. The successful candidate will define and drive the overall SAP technical strategy, ensuring SAP environments are scalable, secure, highly available, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the SAP technical architecture roadmap, aligned with business and IT strategies.
• Design scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available SAP landscapes across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Lead architecture reviews and establish SAP technical standards, principles, and best practices.
• Define target-state architecture for SAP transformation and modernization programs.
• Architect solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, SAP BTP, and related SAP technology platforms.
• Design SAP landscapes covering Development, QA, Pre-Production, Production, DR, and Sandbox environments.
• Lead SAP cloud adoption and migration strategies across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, OCI, and SAP RISE environments.
• Design enterprise integration architecture using SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, REST APIs, SOAP services, and middleware platforms.
• Provide architecture-level leadership for SAP Basis administration and landscape management.
• Define strategies for system refreshes, transport management, patching, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Design SAP security architecture aligned with enterprise security policies and standards.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and operational performance strategies for SAP environments.
• Provide technical architecture leadership across SAP programs, projects, migrations, and transformation initiatives.
• Mentor and guide SAP Basis, integration, development, cloud, infrastructure, and security teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an SAP Technical Architect, SAP Basis Architect, or SAP Solution Architect in enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering at least 5 full lifecycle SAP implementations or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking, database, integration, and infrastructure concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder management, technical leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should possess deep expertise in the following areas:

• SAP Technical Architecture and SAP Basis.
• SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP BTP.
• Cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, and security.
• High availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on enterprise-scale SAP landscapes within a dynamic environment.
