About the Role

alfanar is seeking a Section Manager, Corporate Business Planning to support the execution of corporate strategic planning, performance management, and annual planning processes. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Core Responsibilities

The Section Manager will coordinate alignment across business units, ensure accurate KPI reporting, and contribute to data-driven decision-making. This involves developing and updating corporate strategic objectives, cascading these objectives across sectors, and ensuring consistency between business unit strategies and corporate direction. The role also includes reviewing and tracking updates to strategic plans based on internal and external changes, and participating in the evaluation of strategic initiatives.

Performance Management and Planning

Key duties include managing the coordination of KPI data collection and consolidation, ensuring timely and accurate submission of performance data, and leading the preparation of periodic performance reports. The role involves overseeing support for KPI owners in identifying performance gaps, managing root-cause analysis for underperforming KPIs, and tracking the implementation of corrective actions. Additionally, the Section Manager will lead the coordination of annual planning processes, manage planning timelines, and ensure adherence to submission requirements, while overseeing alignment of annual plans with corporate strategy.

Project Prioritization and Data Standardization

This position coordinates the prioritization of strategic projects in line with organizational objectives, oversees the analysis of project dependencies, and manages risk identification and mitigation planning. The role also supports project evaluation and portfolio review activities. Furthermore, the Section Manager will oversee support for the implementation and maintenance of data platforms for reporting and decision-making, lead efforts to standardize data systems, and coordinate the development of centralized databases and core data structures. Promoting data governance and system integration across business units is also a key aspect.

Leadership and Accountability

The role requires the ability to recruit, recognize, and develop high performers, as well as manage underperformers effectively. The Section Manager must take full responsibility for their operations, anticipate problems, and make timely decisions. Delivering required results with the specified quality and cost, and making a tangible difference to the area of operation are essential. This includes transforming corporate goals into business plans, monitoring plan performance, and initiating actions to strengthen results. The role also involves developing organizational structures and ensuring the availability of job descriptions.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or any relevant field. A minimum of 6 to 10 years of work experience in a related area is required.
