The Role: Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Site Supervision)

Egis is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with a focus on Site Supervision to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing expert site supervision and technical oversight for structural construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance with all applicable standards, serving as a key technical authority on-site and guiding project teams through complex structural challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect all structural construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed technical reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions.
Review and analyze structural designs, drawings, and construction methodologies; provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams.
Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian building codes, safety regulations, and international construction standards.
Identify structural deficiencies or deviations from plans and implement corrective measures promptly.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedule.
Manage quality control testing and material verification; approve or reject work based on technical specifications.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, inspection records, and technical correspondence.
Conduct safety audits and promote a culture of safety compliance across all construction activities.
Provide technical recommendations for design modifications or value engineering opportunities.
Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets from a structural engineering perspective.
Mentor junior engineers and support the professional development of the site team.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with a significant focus on site supervision for construction projects.
Demonstrated expertise in structural construction activities, quality assurance, and technical oversight.
Strong understanding and practical application of Saudi Arabian building codes, safety regulations, and international construction standards.
Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing structural designs, drawings, and construction methodologies.
Ability to identify deficiencies, implement corrective measures, and manage quality control testing.
Excellent coordination and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Experience in maintaining comprehensive project documentation and conducting safety audits.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves significant on-site presence, working within a project team and coordinating with various contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
