Senior Consultant Dry Bulk & Materials Handling

About the Role

Haskoning is seeking a Senior Consultant Dry Bulk & Materials Handling to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading dry bulk and industrial projects across the Gulf Region and internationally, working with international clients on strategically important projects. The consultant will combine technical expertise with client advisory, supporting projects from early feasibility studies through to implementation.

Role Context and Impact

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a leading role in developing and delivering consultancy and engineering projects. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex industrial challenges into practical and commercially viable solutions while building long-term client relationships. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and a global network of specialists to help clients improve supply chains and address operational, sustainability, and investment challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing technical assignments, project delivery, and stakeholder expectations.
• Contribute throughout all project phases, from feasibility studies and master planning to concept design, basic design, tendering, and implementation.
• Select, specify, and integrate bulk handling systems and equipment within industrial and port-related facilities.
• Lead workshops, site surveys, technical reviews, audits, and stakeholder engagement activities to align engineering solutions with client objectives.
• Prepare and review technical reports, consultancy deliverables, tender documentation, and design specifications.
• Support procurement processes, including tender evaluations, contractor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with international specialists across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and convert market needs into future consulting assignments.

Qualifications and Experience

• 7-15 years of experience as an engineering professional with strong expertise in dry bulk and materials handling.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders on strategic investment decisions.
• Experience contributing to technical studies, designs, and consultancy deliverables.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and a proactive mindset.
• Comfortable taking ownership of work in an international environment.
