Senior Cost Control Manager

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh Consultants is seeking a Senior Cost Control Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project budgets and ensure accurate cost estimation across all project phases. The Senior Cost Control Manager will implement robust cost monitoring systems, conduct regular reviews, and provide timely financial reports for projects within the Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project budgets.
• Ensure accurate estimation of costs, considering all project phases.
• Implement robust cost monitoring systems to track project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Conduct regular reviews and analyses of project costs.
• Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Identify potential cost variations and take proactive measures to address them.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs against budgeted costs, investigating and explaining significant variances.
• Manage and administer change orders, assessing their impact on project budgets.
• Collaborate with project teams to control and mitigate additional costs.
• Act as a point of contact for clients regarding cost-related matters, providing timely responses to inquiries and concerns.
• Prepare regular financial reports for project management and clients.
• Communicate financial status, cost trends, and forecasts to relevant stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and organized financial records.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in cost management and financial control.
• Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency of cost control processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Cost Control Manager in PMC projects.
• Experience in managing costs for PMC projects within the Middle East region.
• Professional certifications in finance or related fields are preferred.

Required Skills

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices.
• Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires collaboration with various project teams and stakeholders in a dynamic project management consultancy environment.
