Role Overview

Oivan is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This part-time, client-facing role involves designing and operating platforms that enable clients to build, ship, and run software securely at an enterprise scale. The engineer will work across CI/CD, cloud, container orchestration, and security, bridging development, operations, and security teams to ensure fast, repeatable, and secure releases. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, adhering to DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
• Architect and manage cloud and hybrid environments across GCP, Oracle Cloud, or Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and Ansible).
• Design and operate container platforms with Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher, and OpenStack.
• Deploy, manage, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL and Redis (Sentinel-based) clusters.
• Implement and operate Consul clusters for service discovery and configuration management.
• Design and test Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including data replication, failover strategies, and DR networking.
• Lead discovery and assessment of existing SDLC, CI/CD, and infrastructure environments, and execute migrations to new GitLab environments.
• Install, configure, and operate GitLab on-premise environments and design GitLab reference architectures.
• Create and maintain Runbooks and Playbooks for product- and project-based operations.
• Implement security scanning and automated security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Facilitate collaboration between Development, Operations, and Security teams.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, availability, and reliability.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer for customers and internal teams.
• Engage directly with customer stakeholders in on-site engagements in KSA.
