About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Digital Cartography Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Digital Cartography Specialist will be responsible for a range of duties critical to maintaining high-quality geospatial data products. This includes:

• Creating and maintaining digital maps, charts, and other geospatial visualizations.
• Ensuring all maps and charts comply with applicable geospatial data standards and policies.
• Collaborating with other geospatial specialists to integrate data products into final map and chart deliverables.
• Verifying the accuracy and currency of maps and charts, reflecting the latest available geospatial information.
• Applying analytical and creative skills to develop optimal map layouts and designs.
• Monitoring and reviewing map and chart production processes to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of current digital cartography platforms and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong foundation in cartography and geospatial technologies. The required qualifications include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
• A Certificate in Cartography or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Extensive experience in digital cartography roles.
• Proficiency with software including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, QGIS, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of cartography principles, geospatial tools, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with military mapping standards such as TLM and JOG.
• Understanding of geospatial data standards and policies.
