About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Senior Director Development (Sports Venues) SPA to lead the development of advanced sports facilities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is central to establishing Qiddiya as a leading sports and entertainment destination within the region.

Role Purpose and Strategic Impact

The Senior Director will oversee the complete development lifecycle of sports venues, ensuring that all projects align with Qiddiya's strategic vision. This role is crucial for integrating innovative design and functionality to create facilities capable of hosting global sporting events and fostering local sports culture, while meeting international standards and engaging communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for sports venue development that supports Qiddiya's mission and enhances regional sports engagement.
• Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of diverse sports venue projects, including multi-sport arenas, training facilities, and spectator areas.
• Conduct feasibility studies and market analyses to inform design decisions and financial investments.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including sports federations, government agencies, and contractors.
• Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and sustainable practices.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, identified risks, and strategic recommendations.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the project development team.

Candidate Profile

Candidates for this position must possess over 10 years of relevant experience in development leadership, particularly within large-scale sports or entertainment venue projects. The role requires a highly-skilled individual capable of strategic oversight and hands-on project execution.
