Senior Frontend Developer

About the Role

Norconsult Telematics is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on delivering contracted frontend enhancements, maintaining production stability, and elevating the quality of existing web platforms. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in frontend development.

Position Objective

The primary objective of this role is to deliver frontend enhancements on schedule and to agreed quality standards. The Senior Frontend Developer will own the frontend architecture and technical direction for web platforms, ensuring production stability through defect resolution, incident participation, and root-cause analysis. A key focus will be on improving code quality, test coverage, performance, and security posture of the existing codebase, while maintaining a complete and auditable delivery record in Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production web applications using React and *
• Own frontend architecture and technical implementation for new features and enhancements.
• Build reusable, scalable, and well-structured component libraries.
• Develop strongly typed applications using TypeScript.
• Integrate REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, error handling, loading and retry states, and data transformation.
• Implement application state management using Redux.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces using Sass/SCSS and modern CSS.
• Build screens with full localization and RTL layout support; development and deployment are in English, with Arabic content delivered via a translation mapping layer.
• Own features end-to-end, covering technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Triage and resolve reported defects, and participate in incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in the out-of-hours and on-call support rota for production issues.
• Work from Azure Boards and maintain a clean delivery audit trail in Azure DevOps.
• Review and improve existing code, architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, mobile engineers, UI/UX designers, QA, and product stakeholders.

• 2-5 years of experience in frontend development.
• Proficiency in React and for web application development.
• Experience with TypeScript for strongly typed applications.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate REST APIs, including handling authentication, authorization, errors, loading, and data transformation.
• Strong understanding of application state management, particularly with Redux.
• Competence in building responsive and accessible interfaces using Sass/SCSS and modern CSS.
• Familiarity with localization and RTL layout support.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for delivery tracking and audit trails.
• Ability to write and maintain various levels of tests (unit, integration, end-to-end).
