Role Overview

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Operations & Maintenance Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operations and maintenance of completed assets. The Manager will coordinate with clients, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), and contractors to define operations and maintenance requirements for acceptance verification, commissioning, and the transfer of assets to end-users, operators, and maintainers.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Client to integrate operational and maintenance requirements into design specifications.
• Collaborate with Testing & Commissioning Managers from PMCs and contractors to establish safe, successful, and timely Operation Maintenance regimes.
• Provide technical leadership during final acceptance testing, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, handover with training, and operations phases.
• Guide and direct the resolution of project operations and maintenance challenges and complex control issues.
• Interact with the Client to understand operational philosophy and requirements for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Monitor and report on testing and commissioning activities prior to final acceptance and asset transfer, including receipt of training, manuals, BIM/GIS models, asset tagging data, and spare parts inventory.
• Develop and implement operations and maintenance strategies, execution plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary commissioning activities to ensure seamless system transfer.
• Coordinate training, acceptance testing, and receipt of documentation and inventory among PMCs and contractor personnel.
• Witness system energization, start-up activities, and commissioning sequences.
• Coordinate operational readiness reviews and support performance testing and system acceptance.
• Facilitate smooth facility transfer to Operations by developing an operations and maintenance regime.
• Interface with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, End-users, HSE, Vendors, and Client teams.
• Participate in commissioning meetings, readiness reviews, and management progress sessions.
• Resolve technical issues impacting commissioning schedules and system performance.
• Coordinate with contractors for defect remedies during the Defects and Liability Period (DLP).

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with HSE requirements and company procedures.
• Lead operations and maintenance risk assessments, operations reviews, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Promote a strong safety culture during the operations and maintenance phase.
• Participate in incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain a strong Health, Safety & Environmental ethos.

Quality Assurance

• Verify compliance with operations and maintenance requirements, procedures, and industry standards.
• Review test records, commissioning reports, and completion documentation as part of the acceptance testing regime.
• Ensure proper documentation of operational results and system performance.
• Support quality audits and client inspections.
• Ensure accurate as-built and turnover records are maintained.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess over 10 years of relevant experience in operations and maintenance management. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
