About the Role

DXC Technology is seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing, building, migrating, and operating enterprise cloud environments, with a focus on OCI infrastructure, cloud migration, cloud-native services, DevOps automation, and Oracle application workloads.

Role Context and Objectives

The Senior OCI Engineer will collaborate with architects, application teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. The role also includes providing technical guidance to other engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of OCI environments. Candidates should be prepared to take ownership of OCI designs and implementations, lead migrations, and automate infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement OCI tenancy structures, including compartments, VCNs, subnets, security lists, NSGs, and DRGs.
Provision and manage compute instances (VM, Bare Metal, Flex), block, object, and file storage, and load balancers.
Configure IAM policies, identity federation, dynamic groups, and instance principals using least-privilege principles.
Implement connectivity and security services such as FastConnect, IPSec VPN, Web Application Firewall, and Cloud Guard.
Lead workload migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to OCI, utilizing tools like Oracle Cloud Migrations or RackWare.
Plan and execute rehost, re-platform, and refactor migration approaches based on workload requirements.
Support database migrations using OCI Database Migration Service, Data Pump, GoldenGate, or Zero Downtime Migration.
Build and manage containerized workloads using OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using OCI DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform with the OCI provider, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, or Pulumi.
Implement monitoring and observability using OCI Monitoring, Logging, Logging Analytics, and Application Performance Monitoring.
Deploy and manage Oracle Database services on OCI, including DB Systems, Exadata Cloud Service, and Autonomous Database.
Design OCI environments for Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Fusion Middleware workloads.
Configure Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and Autonomous Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
Monitor and optimize Oracle workloads using OCI Database Management, Operations Insights, and Performance Hub.
Produce high-level designs, architecture documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
Translate application and business requirements into practical OCI designs.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior cloud engineers.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications and Experience

5-10 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of OCI designs and implementations.
Experience leading cloud migrations.
Proficiency in automating infrastructure delivery.
Comfortable working across infrastructure, networking, databases, and DevOps domains.
Strong communication skills for interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.
