About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Senior Registrar - Family Medicine to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to individuals and families across all age groups. The role is integral to diagnosing and treating medical conditions, promoting health education, and coordinating care with specialists, emphasizing population health management and value-based care to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive telehealth and in-person consultations, including thorough patient history and physical examinations.
  • Provide healthcare services to all family medicine target populations across various ages and genders.
  • Offer chronic disease and preventive care consultations and follow-ups according to clinical guidelines.
  • Utilize video conferencing platforms for virtual assessments, symptom evaluation, and medical history review.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient education.
  • Oversee ongoing care for chronic and acute conditions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Practice population health management by identifying and addressing community health issues and implementing preventive measures.
  • Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
  • Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality assurance standards for telehealth and in-person practice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits.
  • Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills in family medicine, in-person, and telehealth best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with regulations.
  • Utilize the designated telehealth platform, including video conferencing, secure messaging, and EHR integration.
  • Collaborate with IT support to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards and ensure patient safety across all clinical interactions.
  • Practice safe medicine to ensure no patient harm.
  • Explain medication side effects and proper use.
  • Maintain satisfactory patient consultations through communication, empathy, and understanding of patient conditions.
  • Monitor patient feedback and address concerns promptly.
  • Implement safety protocols to minimize risks during consultations.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on patient safety for healthcare staff.
  • Utilize patient satisfaction surveys for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Share insights and recommendations to support patient-centered care approaches.
  • Facilitate communication between team members regarding patient status and needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine.
  • Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar or similar role, preferably in a primary care setting.
  • Experience in practicing population health management and value-based care approaches.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine platforms.
  • Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in family medicine, population health management, and value-based care.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves both telehealth and in-person patient interactions, requiring collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
