The Senior Sales Engineer Role

This full-time Senior Sales Engineer (SSE) position is a pre-sales support role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The SSE primarily provides technical sales support to Commvault’s partners and channel, working with partner-focused sales teams to influence and drive the sales cycle. This role requires a strong technical contributor who understands the impact of their decisions on customer value and Commvault's revenue. The SSE acts as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and technical stakeholders, and also serves as a team leader, mentor, and contributor to the company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the regional Pre-Sales team and report to the Regional Pre-Sales Leader.
• Present and demonstrate Commvault software products using presentations, whiteboards, and live demonstrations.
• Work with internal departments including sales, support, marketing, and channel teams to ensure successful sales campaigns and a positive partner experience.
• Support the achievement of annual revenue goals in alignment with Commvault’s regional business plan.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and maintain regular communication within the regional and global Pre-Sales community, as well as other technical and development functions.
• Serve as a leader within the Pre-Sales division and a go-to technical resource.
• Actively participate in all Sales and regional meetings and QBRs, providing technical leadership on various topics such as field marketing and qualification.
• Drive or support complex sales opportunities by translating business requirements into technical solution requirements.
• Coordinate technical expertise, define delivery and deployment approaches, timelines, and required resources.
• Coordinate demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities.
• Support internal deal acceptance processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in the Software or SaaS industry, specifically within Data Management, Security, and Cyber Resiliency.
• Extensive technical knowledge of data management, including applications, cloud technologies, compliance, disaster recovery, tape infrastructure, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols, and general connectivity in multi-platform enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated success in managing Enterprise clients and working on high-level deals.
• Experience in responding to complex RFPs.
